Out sightseeing in the Catalina Mountains east of Tucson. Drove the Catalina Highway. 2200’ to 8000’ elevation change. From 73 degrees to 46 degrees and back. Wild ride. #rivertao
Just came back from seeing Captain America: Brave New World. I have…thoughts. But first I have to get over the shellshock.
Went to a community theatre production of Much Ado About Nothing last night. Mostly weak performances, but some interesting takes on and edits of the script. Not all bad, but not terribly good. I wish community theatre could be better in this country.
Had one of the best sleeps I’ve had in the past week. I discovered how to open the window in the bedroom. I think it made a great deal of difference to have fresh air through the night.
That was as satisfying a football beatdown as I’ve ever seen. And if it’s any consolation to Bills fans, they would have lost to the Eagles as well.
Not very invested in this Superbowl, but will watch. Rooting for the Eagles against the Kansas City Referees. No interest in the halftime show. The First Felon will find some way to ruin the experience.
Over the span of two days I’ve completed a redesign and integration of all three of my blogs. I am not a coder or designer, but all in all I am pleased with the results. Without the work of @mtt and @lmika I’m not sure it would look this nice (IMO) or function this well.
Spending the day planning the rest of the vacation. Not what I wanted to do, but the sooner it gets done, the better. Then I can work around our joint trips for podcast production and moto riding.
Replacement for my bricked Garmin Zumo XT arrived today. Currently doing all the updates. I hope to get it mounted on the bike and working tomorrow.
Morning Walk Sunday Feb. 2, 2025 9:45AM 1.82 miles. Weather: Sunny, 60°. Groundhog’s Day is not a thing here. Today I need to pull a few things together for the coming month. What’s great is that I will be able to do that outside, as the weather is turning warmer this week and becoming comfortable to sit in the shade. Watched Conclave last night. Not too impressed. The “payoff” ending rang hollow.
Pet Peeve of the Day: the incessant barrage of requests for reviews of items I’ve purchased online. I am not your free marketing department.
Morning Walk 9:45 AM MST 1.84 miles. Weather: 45°, sunny. I think the sense of discovery and adventure around the neighborhood is gone. I continue to fight the urge to leave the pavement and head east into the adjoining desert, since it appears to be private property. 🌵
